Political contributions by employees of the police department

Did the recent amendments to the City's political activity restrictions change the rule regarding members of the City police department and political contributions?

No.  It remains the rule that a member of the Police Department may not make a contribution to a candidate or to a political committee affiliated with a candidate. A member of the Police Department may, however, make a contribution to a political committee that is NOT affiliated with a candidate.
