If a City employee becomes a board member of a nonprofit in 2020 must this membership be disclosed on the 2019 Statement of Financial Interest due by July 15, 2020?
No. The Statement of Financial Interest should only include information about transactions that occurred in 2019. This board membership would be disclosed on the employee’s 2020 Statement of Financial Interest which will be due in May of 2021.
